Just arrived is an amazing piece of equipment to improve health and wellbeing through better sleep, waste removal, reduction in aches and pains etc. works wonders in many ways for all types of people. It provides a unique therapy that encourages the body to release toxins and promotes self-healing mechanisms to restore balance and enhance health. The non-invasive therapy uses compression, far infrared and deep pressure to encourage relaxation, sleep and energy.

We’ve taken our knowledge of the body and mind, and designed a non-invasive therapy that repairs, recovers and rejuvenates, restoring us to our neutral state of wellbeing. Our aim is to support people to return to their ‘normal’.

Each of us has varying degrees of ‘normal’ which causes varying levels of stress, anxiety and tiredness. The danger is that we start to normalise the increased stress, the lack of sleep and a constant state of tiredness, and convince ourselves this is our ‘normal’. This creates a problem and our health starts to decline.

The work of our therapy is to help you release the toxins from your system, regaining your normal; returning you to your original energy levels and promote the body’s healing mechanisms. We call it the ‘FLOW’ state because it allows us to be present, allowing a balance to our lives.

This amazing technology is a breakthrough non-invasive natural therapy that delivers a 3-in-1 sensory treatment, to enhance physical and mental wellbeing, restoring health.

This article is to give you a little bit of information on the benefits of these 3 therapies – Infrared Therapy, which we have been doing for a few years now with our infrared sauna, compression and deep compression therapy.

Compression technology was first introduced to medicine to treat different circulatory conditions, such as lymphedema, post-surgery swelling and DVT.

About 25 years ago, compression was adopted for use in sport in an attempt to improve exercise performance and recovery.  More recently it is being recognized to assist in health and sport recovery.

“Compression allows the body to change how it moves. It feels like many hands are working on you at once to stimulate the body to release toxins. The suit delivers stimulation through cyclic compression to different areas of the body. Before its predecessor completely deflates, each chamber inflates sequentially to ensure a selective progressive pressure. These chambers can be programmed individually to ensure an optimal experience.

Infrared Therapy

Far infrared light is energy from the sun, with properties to help with a various amount of health issues.

Most people have heard of Saunas which use far infrared heat. Far infrared heat stands out from any other, as it penetrates through the skin and the insulating layer of fat – two to three inches into the body – producing a warming effect from the inside out.

Far infrared light is energy from the sun, with properties to help with a variety of health issues. The ‘warm’ energy present in all beings can be linked back to Far Infrared Rays (FIR). When the intensity of the FIR begins to decline, your body becomes more susceptible to environmental hazards, physical diseases and aging. A growing body of evidence supports the use of far infrared as a non-invasive means for promoting a general state of health.  With ties as far back as 1989, where researchers discovered evidence that when far infrared was applied to local areas or to the entire body it had a sleep-promoting effect on people.

Per the positive research associated with far infrared heat, it became an essential component to our new piece of equipment.

Controlling  and adding infrared energy to the body in a controlled manner.

It applies far infrared heat to each of the four sections of the garment to encourage a relaxing, sleep-promoting effect along with encouraging an improved state of health.  The far infrared heat embraces the body with a gentle, healing warmth. Allowing the body to rest, and relax, in such a way that helps restore balance.

Deep pressure stimulation is generally referred to as a form of tactile sensory input, which is provided by holding, stroking, hugging, swaddling, and squeezing.

The technique of Deep Pressure Therapy is often used to calm anxious people – improving their coping ability and adaptation, giving their brain a better sense of where their body is to the outer world.

A light touch is often perceived as alerting and even agitating to some people, while deep pressure touch is typically calming and organizing to the senses. Applying deep pressure to the body helps create a deeply relaxing effect allowing the body to calm and release the daily stress of life. Our suit applies deep pressure to the body – similar to a hug –  through each individual chamber, serving a profoundly relaxing effect, allowing the body to calm and release the daily stress of life.

What happens in a session?

  • Staying fully clothed at all times (long sleeves and full trousers and socks required), you’re helped into the equipment by a technician. Whilst lying horizontally, your feet, legs, abdomen and arms are enclosed by the suit.

  • The garment has air pressure and far infrared cables which are connected to a computerised unit. The technician will set your initial pressure/heat settings.

  • The garment will inflate with air, creating a squeezing sensation that should feel like pressure similar to a hug, with no discomfort. Following this, heat spreads through the garment pieces. This far infrared heat penetrates deep within the body to avoid over-heating and induce a healing warmth.

  • The technician will spend time with you to ensure the settings are comfortable and personalised for your experience.

  • Once you feel comfortable, the technician will provide an eye mask to allow an enhanced relaxation experience. This reduces distractions while allowing you to let go of the daily grind.

  • The experience lasts for 40-45 minutes, whilst the suit works its magic.

  • The technician remains nearby to assist if you become uncomfortable or have any issues/concerns.

  • The experience is slightly different for every individual. Whilst some say it helps them feel light and refreshed, others say it leaves them de-stressed, rested and more in-tune with their body.

How to get the most out of your session.

The equipment has boundless capabilities given the opportunity. Through adopting an open mind, the science and technology can have fulfilling outcomes. By having several, regular sessions, it creates the opportunity to hone in on what your body needs to repair, rejuvenate and recover. You can have a session as often as twice a week, but it is recommended you have a break of three days in between each one.

What are some of the contraindications?

  • Acute inflammation in progress (for instance phlebitis and thrombosis);

  • Infection complications (e.g. ulcers);

  • Pregnancy;

  • Back or hip issues, unless approved by a physician/doctor;

  • Broken bones;

  • Congestive Heart Failure.

What are people saying about it?

“For the last 3 years we had been trying to find help for my CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). I only made it to school for two half days a week and couldn’t get out of bed most days. I had to give up all my sports and spent no time with my friends. It was recommended that we try this therapy (or the Moon suit as I called it). It was truly amazing as after six sessions I am back to school nearly full time, playing with my friends every weekend and I have picked up some of my old sports. After each session we started to notice bigger and bigger changes in my energy, sleep and recovery. Each session saw me getting closer to the life I had before being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue.”

Shane leads a busy lifestyle with teaching and coaching sport. He started using the equipment for relaxation and to help destress. Put simply it allows him to stop. Shane loves the pressure and the warmth that the suit gives. He finds himself letting go and going in and out of sleep during a session. After a session Shane feels completely relaxed, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. Shane has a session every three weeks, but his ideal situation he says would be to go fortnightly. Shane’s personal tips for when using the suit:
1. Drink plenty of water before and after.
2. Do not do anything that exerts a lot of energy after a session.
3. Try to plan a relaxing day after a session to get full benefit.

“I have turned to this amazing therapy a couple of times in the past couple of years to help with my health and wellbeing. After the birth of my first child, I found the therapy helped me to heal from the demands of pregnancy and to help regain energy. I have also used the therapy to help with illness and returning from injury. On all instances I have felt replenished and energised and in a much clearer mental state after my sessions. As a practicing yogi, the flow state in which you find yourself when in the suit is much the same as when you connect with your yoga practice. It is nourishing and like nothing else. If you can let yourself go mentally while in the suit, the benefits and feeling is immense..”

Anne has chronic lymphocytic leukemia and wanted to avoid chemo at all costs. Anne’s first time in the suit she felt like there were cogs in her legs starting to move. She felt like her body parts were being woken up and could feel them start to activate.

Here are some of the effects Anne has felt since using the suit:
– Felt like life was given back.
– A lot more energy to give.
– Able to eat well and live a normal life.

During a session Anne loves the pressure and lovely warm sensation going through her body. She finds it soothing, sleep inducing, rhythmical and blissful.
